Ted Fullwood

Artist statement
Ted Fullwood creates sculptural works in clay, mosaic, and fiber, exploring color, texture, and form through intricate, labor-intensive processes. His fiber pieces are woven from chenille stems (pipe cleaners), transforming a familiar material into something unexpected and complex.
Rooted in daydreaming and intuition, Fullwood’s practice embraces repetition and spontaneity, allowing ideas to emerge instinctively rather than through analysis. Rather than conveying fixed meanings, his work invites curiosity, ambiguity, and a sense of wonder.
